Description: Prayer and fasting for Rachel's Joy ministry, the young women in our program, the workers, staff, our supporters and protection over the home. Requirements: Must be a born-again Spirit-filled believer
Have compassion and a desire to serve young mothers and their newborn babies

at our Kindermusik class

House Parents

Rachel's Joy Maternity Home is seeking a mature Christian women who is single or one who has already raised a family and would love to "adopt" young moms and their children. A women who will enjoy relating to young believers, mentoring, offering accountability and giving guidance, will love children, and enjoy nurturing and spending time with them.

As a Christian, she will be able to offer spiritual authority, handle discipline issues, teach parenting and household management skills, mentor young women in their faith, and oversee the everyday functioning of house life.

While on duty, the house parent will reside in a private bedroom with a kitchen available. She will work scheduled shifts having one weekend off a month. This is a salaried position and medical coverage will be discussed after a six month probation period.

Visiting Nurse
Commitment: one house visitation a week.

Description: advisory capacity

Requirements:
Registered nurse Must be a born-again Spirit-filled believer. Have own transportation (not mandatory)

at our Kindermusik class

Experienced Teachers
cooking, art, music, sewing, computers, etc. Commitment: 1-3 scheduled times a week.

Description: able to teach a hobby or skill to students. Biblical incorporation into lesson, if possible.

Requirements:
Must be a born-again Spirit-filled believer. Be willing to teach mothers with newborn babies. Have own transportation (not mandatory)

Therapist/Counselor
Commitment: 1-2 visits a week.

Description: emotional support/prayerful healing.

Requirements:
psychologist/psychiatrist. Must be a born-again Spirit-filled believer
Have own transportation (not mandatory)

Nutritionist
Commitment: 1visitation per month

Description: plan weekly meals. Educate on nutrition.

Commitment: when needed.

Description: trouble-shooting hardware and difficult installation of software.

Nurturing Families

Families are encouraged to nurture by welcoming and mentoring one of our Rachel's Joy girls on a weekly basis into their homes so that she and her baby will experience the family environment first hand.
